Yeah it's that time again! We are all hyped to check out this years contests. Our team this time around looks promising with veteran Ju Bray heading up the snowboard crew alongside brother & sister duo Kendall and Mitch Brown plus the North Shore's own top-ranking-kiwi, James Hamilton! We are lucky this year to be a part of the action, with Snowplanet putting on a special treat for the events, hosting New Zealand's very own official opening ceremony on the snow, and a "MINI OLYMPICS" series of competitive events. (Taking registrations now, til the day of each comp) The park crew has been going mental putting in as many features as possible and building this behemoth of a kicker:
The Opening Ceremony will fire up with an on show celebration with kids skiing and snowboarding whilst proudly modeling some of the flags of the Winter Olympic competing nations and the ‘Snowplanet Instructors Show’ allowing these skilled athletes to show off their talent. The chills and thrills of an on snow Haka will lead into the live coverage of the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony from Vancouver at 3.00pm.

24/11/09 What a Season!
A glorious late season this year. October brought great spring conditions and what seemed like a huge number of sunny weekend days. An added bonus was a bit of late snow which gave a nice coating to an ample base during the school holidays. For those of you who are lucky enough to be heading overseas during the summer, don't forget to pop in store to pickup any travel items before you go!
